1000 Guineas Trials
The two principle three year 1000 Guineas trials are the Nell Gwynne Stakes over 7 furlongs of the Rowley mile at the Newmarket Racecourse and the Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury. Punters are well advised to keep a close eye on both of theses races ahead of the 1000 Guineas at the start of May. We have been keeping a close on all of the trial races to help punters make their decision on who to back at Newmarket.
Cheveley Park Stakes 2010
The Cheveley Park Stakes is always a race worth keeping an eye on as the best two year old fillies go head-to-head ahead of their big campaign the following year. It was Special Duty who who was the star in the race and she was immediately installed as the favourites in the 1000 Guineas Odds after her scintillating win.
Nell Gwyn Stakes
The new season has seen the Nell Gwyn Stakes take place at Newmarket over the Guineas course so it is always one to keep an eye an on. This year was no different and we saw an excellent performance from Barefoot Lady who stormed away from the field in style down the outside for Richard Fahey and Paul Hanagan. Connections were quick to say afterwards that although she did not hold an entry for the 1000 Guineas that after that performance there was every chance she would be.
