IT turned out to be a memorable 1000 Guineas with Jacqueline Quest crossing the line in first place in what would have been a huge shock, that was until the stewards stepped in to give Special Duty the victory. There was some interference by Jacqueline Quest but most on lookers were split on whether or not it was the correct decision. Gile Na Greine ran on well to claim third but the day belonged to special Duty who won as the favourite.
