1000 Guineas - 2007 Result

The Jim Bolger trained Fisceal Beo won the 1000 Guineas for the Irish in 2007 in fine style breaking 1000 Guineas history, by winning in the fastest ever recorded time for the race. She finished 2 ½ lengths ahead of the US bred, Arch Swing, but the manner of her victory, strongly suggested that she could have won by considerably more.

Her victory made up for Bolger’s disappointment at losing out in the 2000 Guineas, when his Teofilo, the red hot pre-race favourite was withdrawn through injury. Jeremy Noseda’s Simply Perfect finished in third place.

  • 1 Fisceal Beo – K Manning – Jim Bolger
  • 2 Arch Swing – M Kinana – J Oxx
  • 3 Simply Perfect – J Murtagh – J Noseda
